Ricks Munn
Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2025
I just finished installing this starlink mount on the side of a small, pre-fabricated shed on our property. The mounting base has several different holes in it that you can use for different mounting solutions which is nice. We opted to use some large lag bolts in the two centerline holes and screwed the lag bolts into a stud. The mount seems to hold pretty well and should handle wind storms just fine. The finish paint should keep the product from rusting while sitting out in the elements. This isn't the strongest mount I've ever seen, but like I said before it is strong enough to handle hard winds, so I guess that's good enough. The biggest issue I have with this mount is that it's crooked. When we lined up the mounting plate perfectly straight, we noticed the pipe was tilted to the side about 5 degrees, which is quite a bit. We had to resort to installing the mounting plate at a 5 degree angle, which does not look very professional. But it looks a lot better than having the tall pipe tipped 5 degrees.Overall, the mount was pretty easy to install and it should hold up well to the wind and weather, but it would have been nice if it was built a little better without crooked angles to it.
