A great easier to work with alternative to the old hide glue used in instrument building from the beginning of time. Easy clean up, longer working time, allows for later removal and repairs. Smells fine, not fishy.

Fish glue is an excellent adhesive. Just the thing if it is to hand WHEN YOU NEED IT. This is my second order from StewMac, and for the second time, the glue did not arrive when they said it would--which thoroughly disrupted my build. I'll have to use another adhesive, and it really ticks me off. So I'll receive this glue AFTER the job is finished. Maybe I'll keep it, maybe I'll send it back.

I just love this glue for wood working. Usually buy 2 bottles about every 3 months. This time the bottle leaked into the bag and I can't get it out.

Have not used this item yet on my project to repair a rare vintage 1700's ceramic mirror frame. However it is what museums use to restore/repair pottery, ceramics, wood frames from online videos I have researched.

This product is used, typically by musical instrument makers working with wood and/or leather, when you anticipate needing to undo the joint for repairs etc at any time in the future life of the instrument. We used it for replacing the leather on a very old organ bellows on which the leather had completely given out from years of use (like 100 years). The glue was excellent because it gave us almost 30 minutes of workable time to adjust the leathers into the odd angles and folds necessary for our purposes.

I used this to repair the edge banding on my Martin HD28. Never done any repairs on my guitar before but it turned as just as good as I could hope for. Banding is back on solid.
