BLADE MATERIAL of the long sculpture bent gouge is meticulously hand forged from alloy steel U8 (W1-7) - the stell is professionally hardened to 60 Hrc and the blade is razor sharpened to 22 degrees. Hardened high carbon, chromium-containing low alloy steel has perfectly balanced properties for producing wood carving and cutting tools. It's a high-strength, wear-resistant steel, which keeps sharpening for a long time of use. HANDLE MATERIAL of the sculpture bent gouge - polished and stained with linseed oil oak wood. The handle is reinforced with a ring on top and adapted for hammer blows.
