The extra deep socket will work great. It’s actually a backup for a 36mm extra deep well socket.

Socket was new but not true to size at end of socket. I have a hex head tap set that the tap is 1 7/16". When I put tap in it, it has a very loose fit. Wouldn't be effective for precision fit work like taping. But other style 1 7/16" sockets work.
