Pretty straight plug and play device with a power button. Functionality-wise, it is pretty simple. I just plugged it in my outlet and it worked. Size and build quality feels like it will last a while. I used this for our indoor string lights that does not have a switch, so I can just either use the remote control that it came with, which is handy, or just press the power button on the device itself. It costs less than a those plugs with wifi, which i think has a different use case.

Don't laugh too hard, but I swear my favorite thing about this set is the holder for the remote ;) I have a couple of other remote outlets, and the remote winds up missing in action within days. The holder for this one is weirdly handy, and not something I even knew I needed in my life. TBH I have several different brands of bluetooth outlets, and I haven't loved them. Inevitably the app stops working right and since I don't stick with one brand I'm tired of having a dozen apps controlling random outlets or light strips. This is a nod to the old school timers...a little manual, a little "smart", and if you missed the first three mentions, a handy holder to contain the remote!

This little device has saved my back this Christmas and probably will year round as well. I used this outlets on my Christmas Tree and my 2 lamps so I do not have to bend over to unplug them or turn them on. I can operate all the lights by this remote sitting down in my chair. Operation is super simple, plug in the outlet and hit the button on the side. I took 1 star off for the battery in the remote being and odd ball size (not a AAA or AA battery). Other than that these are great things.

There are only two issues that I have with this item.1) They are not numbered so when you plug in the first one you have to click down the remote to figure out which outlet goes with which button. (not a big deal, just a pain)2) Why are there 5 buttons but only three outlets? If it comes with three outlets, then have three buttons or provide 5 outlets. However, they work as advertised and I like the ability to control a light or something with the remote. The only other thing that would make them better was if they were able to be connected to wifi so you could control them with Alexa or something too.

The SURAIELEC Remote Control Outlet, Wireless Light Switch (3 Outlets + 1 Remote), is really easy to set up, as well as use, and it works great! These remote control outlets easily control any kind of electrical device (lamps, string lights, fans, etc.) from a good distance (100ft range). These do not include any kind of dimmer capabilities, they're only intended to be used to turn on/off the items/electronics they're connected to. It is programmable, and expandable, though. The remote control it comes with has numbers on it that correspond to each plug in outlet, and there's two buttons for each number (on/off buttons) - it comes with three outlets, but the remote has up to five outlets that may be used on it. The remote also comes with batteries already included in it (just need to pull the plastic tab from the bottom of it to start using it), and it has a wall holder for the remote too, which I really like - I think it's very nice they've included a holder for it - it can be mounted via screws (and anchors), and/or a double sided adhesive strip (all of which are also included in the box). Overall, I think it's all very well made, well designed, and high quality. I highly recommend!PRODUCT: "SURAIELEC Remote Control Outlet, Wireless Light Switch - 3 Outlets + 1 Remote, 15 AMP, 100FT Range, No Interference, Remote Light Switch Kit for Lamp, Fan, Christmas Tree Light, Household Appliance"

These are amazing. I love how simple they are to setup and work. Take them out of the box and plug them in to a plug. Now plug your cord from your device into the control outlet. Turn it on with the little button on the side. Now you are ready to go with the remote. It took me less than 5 minutes to set up three lamps in my living room. They work excellent.

Pros:- Comes pre-programmed to 1,2,3 spots on remote- Small profile, fits well behind desks, couches, tables- Includes mounting hardware for remote so you can use it like a light switch- Good instructions on how to pair more if you so desire- Manual on/off switchCons:- very odd sized battery in remote - not your typical AAA- no numbered stickers on devices , only way to know which is which is through testing- No phone app. Must use remote controlVerdict:I've had a few of these wireless remote outlets in my life, and this is by far the smallest and most compact. We use lamps as our primary source of light in our TV rom and these work great to quickly shut off the lamps and seasonal decor when we get ready to watch movies. These are very inexpensive, simple, secure, and operate without internet. They don't offer some of the advanced features of the WiFi ones such as automatic timers or long distance operation, but you also don't get the random disconnect problems, security vulnerabilities, or the difficult setup process. Plug and go. Would I order these again? Absolutely.
