I go through valve oil pretty quickly. I'm a hornist that doubles on trumpet. Each time I am done playing, I rinse out and swab my leadpipes - after the swab, the leadpipe gets a few drops of valve oil before putting the instrument away. I play every day (and sometimes, multiple times per day). Because of this, I go though oil (in addition to what I usually use). This stuff works like every other brand name oil that I've used. I like the applicator on these bottles a lot (more narrow and long than the typical round, nipple-like tip) but beware that the oil comes out fast if you squeeze!

It is a perfectly good valve oil. It is three small bottles - which works great for those of us that have multiple instruments. I can keep one bottle in each case.

This ended up making my valves sticky. Do not recommend.

My son just bought a trumpet and is practicing at school, so it's great that the oil comes in a set of 3.He can keep one at home, one in his trumpet bag, and one in his locker at school.He's a kid who loses things a lot, so having all three is reassuring.

The oil is a good value for the quantity and price. It works very well and seems t ok be of a good quality.

works just as well as the name brand stuff. got it to keep on hand for when the kids don't have any for band and practices, and they've noticed its no different except for the label. good work.

Check out the photo. I compared one drop with my current oil compared to this brand. This new oil seems to have a higher viscosity. I am trying it in one of my trumpets and after a few days I will update this review to give you the long-term effects. I will be checking to see if the valves stick or freely move after several days. I will also be checking the movement of the valves compared to the oil I have been using. I am hoping that the higher viscosity will not affect the movement of the valves. I will keep you posted.Update: this lubricant will slow down the valves in cold weather. If you’re playing at a Fall football game then this is not for you. I have revised my rating to 3 stars.
