Excelente, simple, sencillo y super funcional, buenisima idea para sacar los centros de los tubos sin tener que medir dividir o sacar plantilla, funciona para tubos de diametro pequeño o unos muy gruesos y su costruccion es muy buena en aluminio.

I ordered this to mark pen blanks when turning pens on my lathe. I've been using the flat plastic kind that you clamped the pin blank in, then use the gage to mark the pen. It was kind of cumbersome. This works out really great because it's metal and it's not going to wear down. Plus I can hold the marking gauge and the pen blank in one hand while I use my scribe to mark the blank. This has turned out to be really convenient.

This center finder is solidly constructed and does what it is supposed to do. It's almost great. There are two things about it that I find perplexing. One of them is significant enough that it cost it a star. The other one isn't quite significant enough to cost it another.First, there is a gap between the diagonal part and the other side of the tool. I'm not quite sure why this gap is there. But what it means is that I can't use this tool to find the center of the small wooden discs that I like to make keychains from. The disks are less than a quarter inch thick. Which means they are too thin for this tool. I'm not sure what reason there is for such a gap. Perhaps it has to do with the manufacturing? Regardless, it creates a limitation that I find frustrating. The other issue has to do with storage. Because this tool is one solid piece, it takes up a certain amount of space no matter what. And that's fine. But there's a hole it in for hanging on a peg (presumably). However, when you hang it, because of the placement of the hole and the overall shape of the tool (a cube), the tool doesn't hang properly. It just takes up a lot of space. Other than moving the hanging hole, which might not address the issue, I'm not sure what could be done about this (thus I didn't remove a star for it). Perhaps this is just me being picky.Overall, I'm confident that this tool will serve me well for years to come, as long as the material I want to use it on is of a minimum thickness.
