I added water to the 1/2 pound mark and then drew a black line around the outside. Repeat wil 1 pound and 1.5 pounds. I also added a line on the inside to make those measurements more obvious when leveling out feed in the bin. Now it’s the perfect scoop for these old eyes to read easily when feeding all of the horses. I liked the cup type better but this is doing the job and making me faster.Seems as durable as all of the translucent ones. The black ones are stronger but this will do even in sweet feed.

Less than one month use. The markings for the amount of feed given from 1/2 lb through 2 1/2 lbs have all rubbed off. No way to measure amount of feed in scoop. Would not recommend buying this expensive scoop to use for accuracy when feeding livestock
