Housing was bowed out of the box. Enough so that the braces didn’t even fit properly.

This is so terribly designed that when the axle flexes, the front housing or "pumpkin" separates from the axle housing and fills up the differential with dirt, gravel, mud and sand. I had to Shoe Goo mine shut to keep it from separating and destroying the differential.
