Our Company History
In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter—and later, his wife, Edna—sought to create fine books that sold at prices even a pauper could afford.

This is a beautiful journal that has a hard, sturdy cover, a bookmark, a back pocket and 120GSM paper! The cover has an embossed Tree of Life design and the lines inside are a light brown which I love! It's a compact size, so pay attention to the sizing in case you want something bigger. It will fit nicely in a purse or backpack or even a big pocket! Honestly, you can't go wrong with the Peter Pauper products! They are such good quality!

It’s not genuine leather from unicorns or whatever. But it is beautiful for the price point. The paper is on the heavy side, like parchment. It also has a pocket and firm binding.

I really like the look and feel of this notebook. The pages have a nice weight and my pen doesn’t bleed through. It would be really nice if this design offered more pages rather than 88 pages which is the 176 pages back and front because the book gets full really quickly.

I'm always very picky about the notebooks I get. For one, I am left handed and not always comfortable with all of them. This is probably my favorite notebook of all time. I decided to start journalling for the first time and it's the perfect size - small, with nice spacing, and light weight. I've been using it all year and decided to add a review as I am now purchasing my second one. If you are looking to journal, this is the perfect notebook! I plan on using the second one to take notes for a course I've signed up for. It feels perfect for all use cases.

I used this journal for two months of backpacking. For the most part, it was great quality. I will say the leather cover did get a bit smushed by the strap after two months of daily use.The pages are high quality and did not bleed at all with my sharpie pen.I think it’s a good enough size, fitting perfectly into my daypack. It has enough pages for a lot of use, while staying thin enough to store without taking up space.I did fill up the entire journal, and I didn’t find any in the local shops that had the combination of perfect size and high quality, non-bleeding pages. I would buy it again for my next trip.

This beautiful imitation leather journal is an excellent quality-price bargain. My photo doesn't do it justice, and though I took it out to inspect, I'm keeping it in its protective plastic wrapping until I use it. Its rustic charm is maintained while being less expensive than leather and animal-friendly, and I love the tree of life image on the front. The paper is of good quality, and lined for easy writing. (I'm not sure yet if ink bleeds on the paper or not.) I'm very picky about journal notebooks, and this one is very worth it.
