Comparing this with a similar product, one sees that it is virtually identical in appearance. One big exception is the use of PL-259 connectors for the radios. Jumpers usually have PL-259 connectors so without a short barrel connector, one can't use this. Had I realized the problems I would have finding SO-239 connectors for RG-8x cable (impossible, apparently), I would not have ordered it. However, I was able to find barrel connectors to make it work.Internally, it is similar to the higher-priced version with the exception that there are fewer parts. I have not really had the opportunity to test it to see if it works as well as the higher-priced option. It is likely okay.Do I recommend it? Only if one is aware of the connector issue and can work around it.
