If you're swimming laps, you don't want to be doing it in your baggy trunks. Yes, these are 'brief', but just hop into the pool, do your thing, dry off and go home.Nothing high tech to mention. This is a solid suit.

Good fit - as expected. This is a bright, vibrant print and material is stretchy without being too thick or too thin. Good freedom of movement and comfortable stitching for long-distance lap swimming. Embroidered logo and all the quality you'd expect from TYR. Very happy with this order!

If you are considering buying these racer briefs, you probably know a bit about suits already.I started swimming when 39 (my first Masters Donner Lake 2.7 mi). I am now 78 and still wear the same brief suits I wore then (yeah, I know, who wants to see that). Since it first came for sale, I have always worn Speedo Endurance. This TYR suit will be compared to the Endurance. They are marketed as similar.I swim in a chlorinated pool about 1½ hours a day, 4 or 5 days a week. My Endurance suits will usually last about 8 or 9 months before the thread in the seams starts to break down. The exterior of the Endurance is 50 percent polyester PET, and 50 percent polyester PBT. PBT is more resistant to chemicals, and is more ridged than PET. The interior of the suit is 100 percent PET, and softer. The PET is less resistant to chemicals. The exterior of the TYR is 88 percent PET, and 12 percent spandex. The spandex is not as resistant to chemicals as polyester, but it has the advantage of being stretchy, and non-latex. Some people find it more comfortable than the PBT shell on the Endurance. The interior of the TYR is 100 percent PET.I have enclosed pictures comparing the two suits. Both are labeled as size 32. The TYR suit is about 3/4 of an inch narrower at the hip. The measurement from waist to groin is identical in each suit. The waist diameter of the TYR is more than an inch smaller than the Endurance. I guess the stretch of the spandex is supposed to compensate. The TYR fit is significantly tighter. The manufacturers suggested retail price for the Speedo Endurance is $35.99, the msrp of the TYR Diploria Racer is $34.99.ON MY COMPARISON SUITSEven though the Racer is stretchy, I would suggest an increase in selected waist size when compared to the Endurance, which has no stretch. The slightly higher cut around the legs of the Racer is inconsequential. There is not enough difference in price to take cost into account.I expect the TYR Diploria Racer to have a shorter life span than the Speedo Endurance. The less-chemically resistant spandex in the exterior will break down faster than the PBT and PET in the Endurance. The suit will be rinsed in a running shower after each swim, and hung to dry. That being said, many people will prefer the comfort of the stretchy spandex Racer, when compared to the more ridged PBT of the Endurance. No one will argue with that personal taste. When this suit becomes what I consider to be unwearable, I will edit this review with respect to longevity. The ultimate difference in the suits comes down to cost for stretchy comfort.A 5 rating for what appears to be an excellent quality suit. The first swim will be March 27, 2023. If I outlive the suit, I will report back here.March 31, 2023I rescind my statement about buying a larger size. After 5 swims, the suit has “relaxed” a bit. Buy a normal size.April 23, 2023One month. The Spandex is failing. Baggy. I am lowering my rating to a 2 for swimming in a chlorinated pool.

Speedo tends to run small on me. A size 30 tends to feel like a 28 and i need to go to a 32 just to fit. A size 30 in TYR fits perfectly. The item appears smaller than it really is when you hold it up and look at it. Once you put on and adjust, it feels just right.

This is a great swimsuit for practice or racing. It runs a little small so I would size up. It fits well and has great coverage though. The designs are nice and the colors are bold and bright.

These swim briefs are absolutely perfect in every way. They're soft, slightly stretchy, light weight, quickly air dry, and retain their shape very well after use. I was also surprised by the vibrancy of the color seen on these swim briefs. Very bright and nice looking, and doesn't fade after a few washes. The photos absolutely do not do them justice. Easily one of my favorite pairs of swim briefs that I've ever purchased. The quality is evident and superb, which I really appreciate as sometimes that is an issue when trying new brands. Overall, super impressed with this product and will be buying more from this company in the future.

My husband needed a new outfit for mowing the lawn and these fit the bill! With his pith helmet and cowboy boots he is ready for a day tackling the yard. Seriously though, these are a great option for non-bulky coverage when he is kayaking or diving and needs something to wear under his wet suit. They are true to size and seem well made, and are comfortable.
