Installed on a 1994 Bayliner Capri 1700LS. The hardest part was removing the old cable. Install was simple. This kit is awesome. There are higher quality shaft assemblies but this one is pretty much free with the price of the cable.Before installing, I removed the cable connection at the motor. Before doing this, my old cable would not allow the motor to move even when shoving my whole shoulder and body weight at it. One removed, the motor turned easily, telling me it was the cable or the shaft. The new cable, shaft, and bezel all work well. I can turn the steering wheel with my little finger with the new parts. Lubricated everything and I'm ready to go...Now I just hope the motor turn ion!

Struggled with my steering all summer, finally checked it out and found the cable on my boat was really stiff. Wasn't sure how stiff it should be, but once I got the new cable, WOW! Can't wait to get my boat back into the water in the spring.

The install went as well as I thought but there is play in the steering now a 1/4 turn each way and this will not be good my boat runs at speeds of 75mph - 80mphSO I am not 100% happy at this point
