Ultum Nature Systems Controbase is a premium nutrient-rich aquarium substrate for live plants with high-porosity pumice eco bio stones for fish tanks designed as an aquarium base layer to provide structural stability and essential nutrients for thriving planted aquariums.
Do not wash before use
Washing before use could remove the beneficial nutrients and buffering compounds that are essential for stabilizing aquarium water parameters.
Spread evenly
Place Controbase planted tank evenly as the bottommost layer, before placing aquarium soil, sand, or gravel.
Stack as needed
Controbase can be used for stacking in order to create variyng slopes for creative multi-dimensional aquascaping.
Keep in mesh bags
Do not remove Controbase from the mesh bag. Water may become cloudy if Controbase is exposed – this will settle naturally.
