About this item

  • Convert the flash hot shoe to 20mm width, 71mm length rail
  • Allow you to mount your optics scope on the camera
  • Made of light weight(net weight 31g) aircraft grade aluminum.
  • Easy to install and release on your camera
  • With 3 position holes, you can lock the rail on the position you want

This flash hot shoe adapter is a new generation product, which provide 3 postions holes for you to mount the rail on the convenience postion you want. It is better than those old generation products which only provide 1 position hole and rotate 360 degree, can not be locked in a postition firmly.

Very cheaply made. The hot shoe doesn't have a snug fit. It loves around and loose. I kept it because I dint have any other option to use my red dot finder without one of these.

The overall quality of this product is great, the price is even better. It will not disappoint those who need such a mount for mounting optics in a cold-shoe configuration.

If you take the time to calibrate it, it does seem to work ok.Needs better way to secure to camera.

Fit on my hot shoe with out issues. I was able to adjust the rail ahead to set my reflex sight more forward. The rail accommodated my reflex sight made for picatinny/weaver rails.Probably not as convenient as the Olympus EE1 or Nikon DFM1 folding sights but this combination was only about 60cad not 190 or more.

Excellent quality and works great; provided! It is quite difficult to get the mount tight in the camera shoe using the big thumb-nut. Because of the slop it is possible to use the device itself as a wrenching handle. It's tricky and when real tight, it IS difficult to remove but with care can be done. To mount, slip the device's foot into the camera shoe and snug up the thumb nut while pulling CCW on the mount. Now hold the nut tight and rotate the mount CCW as far as it will go. Now rotate BOTH the device with the nut CW until it stops. If needed, repeat: hold the nut and rotate the mount CCW until it is where you want it or it reaches the end of travel. Rotate the device AND not together CW until end of travel. This process will allow the device to be extremely tight in the shoe. After snugging it up this way, adjust the attached device (a red dot finder scope) if needed by rotating CW or CCW; it WILL be very tight! removal is the opposite of this process. Other than that, it's a quality product!

Pas le plus discret mais de bonne facture (solide). Je m'en sers pour utiliser un viseur optique laser dans le cadre de l'astrophotographie. Aucun problème de maintien autant au niveau du boîtier que du viseur.

Did not like that it extended back as well as forward from the mount point. I undid the screw and remounted it on one end to provide the length. Works well now, but wish there was a built in option for the screw on either end (more reinforcement for the screw). Move the mount to one end allows for using the camera with a sight or with the viewfinder.

Great accessory for night astrophotography. Lets me mount my laser pointer to aim the camera at objects to dim to see in the viewfinder or lcd. I have also modified my telescope mount to accept this to use the laser to point the mount axis at Polaris with very good accuracy.
