Struggling with lock! I have my dials at 000 and am pressing down on the reset area and am hearing no CLICK. I continued through the motions (in case I missed the sound) and chose a new number sequence and tried to slide the button from the side. Nothing. My fireproof box isn’t locked and so I assume also not fireproof. Any suggestions from someone that had something similar happen? I really like the looks of the products and read the reviews before purchasing.

I'm quite pleased with this fire/waterproof box/safe.* The material on this box is heavy duty, and it checks all the boxes perfectly.- Strong solid handles - 5/5- Zippers slide smoothly 5/5- Holds a lot of items 5/5- Combination locks that work 5/5- Cat / scratch resistant 5/5.We have a large floor model safe that we have used for years, but that safe is in a room we never use, and in a fire it might survive, might not. What I like about this safe (box) is it's easy to move around, I can keep our very important documents (I. D., credit card info, jewelry etc.) and have much easier access to it. It fits on our top shelf in our living room, and blends in well. (you wouldn't know it's a safe to see it).The lock gives me piece of mind if someone were to try and peek inside, they might struggle with the lock and move on.In case of fire or flood, I can grab this box and run.The details inside the box make it that much better, I have a spot for paperwork, (away from jewelry) there's enough pockets to separate my documents from my hubby's, everything fits in neat and tidy. (perfect for my OCD)Overall, for $55.99 with $10.00 off coupon (at time of review) I would say this is a fabulous way to protect precious items, it's much lighter than I thought it would be, (even with my items inside). I will be looking to get another one for a family member who takes medication, I'll feel better knowing it's in a safe (pardon the pun) place.Highly recommend!5 stars.

This Upgraded 5200°F Fireproof Document File Organizer Box is a nice size, certainly large enough for me to store whatever important documents or items I need to keep safe. It’s easy to put it together, it feels like it is made of high quality materials. The extra pouches inside and out are thoughtful design features. The lock is a nice extra to keep casual snoops away, but like most locks, if you want to get in, you can.I can’t attest to its durability in a fire, it’s not something I can test, but looking at some of the fibres that were missed during the QC inspection (normal to see with sewn items), the lining certainly looks like fibreglass and the outer material is waterproof and feels heavy duty. The reflective trim is great and the handles make it easy to grab. The sturdy no-slip feet and the label slot are useful. The only thing I’m not sure about is how effective it is around the zipper. There is no flange of the same material going over the zipper, so that zipper tape is unprotected and exposed. After fire burns through that, it’s just the lid of the box sitting on top of the sides. That may be all that’s needed, I really can’t say as it’s not something I can test.Otherwise, I think it’s great, certainly better than nothing, and I do recommend it.

I question how fireproof this document holder is, but can tell it has some fire resistance integrated. By comparison to my Sentry fireproof file folio this one feels very thin. So fireproof is likely a bit of an exaggeration, but fire resistant is definitely a term I would use.The zipper feels good, but not amazing. Closer to a cheaper piece of luggage, versus a Samsonite or Tumi. A luggage comparison works for this as it is soft sided. It is a square carry-on bag that is collapsible.Interior storage is as described, but the first image is another stretch. The seller literally stretched the image of the top of some folios onto the top of this organizer box. The issue is this isn't the orientation folders will hang! I have included a photo to show how folders hang in the box. It works, but it isn't perfect. For a lightweight collapsible folder holder this is great. For anything long storage or for storing anything you need to be flood and fire PROOF then get a proper solid document transporter. The price feels like a bit on the high side, but that is likely due to my not feeling it is up to task of longer term storage. I'm not deducting a star for the price as I know many will find value in this document storage box.

We had just been talking about the importance of keeping some workplace documentation safely stored away, when I came across this. For ~$50, I'd say it's a handy thing to keep around. I tried some hanging file folders and they fit perfectly, while the zipper can still be done up around the outside of them, so they do not impede the closure. It's a good size for a document storage box/safe and has several pockets both on the outside and the inside. It is very lightweight, so it wouldn't deter someone who was determined to steal the entire box, but the zipper lock does keep nosy eyes from prying too closely if there are documents you want kept private. It comes with a paper on the default code and how to change to your own lock code.It would not be waterproof, and I certainly hope I never have to put the fireproof claim to the test, but for me it's a handy little storage box to keep important documents together and safe.

I ordered this fire proof box to organize all of my important documents incase something should happen to me. My loved ones will only need to go to one place to find everything. This organization box is perfect, the hard collapsible sides are not only fire proof but water proof as well. the extra pockets on the outside are perfect for those items that I need to get at quickly. The top zippers completely close and is very sturdy, is large enough to hold everything from life insurance policies to small important valuable objects.

You need this box to keep all of your important personal/account information and documents up-to-date for your next of kin. Much easier to have it all stored in one place than worrying, "Will my children find everything they need to know when I pass away?" Not to mention the sleek design...the zippers keep all contents totally enclosed... I haven't set a fire to test it--but the box itself is just the right size and easy to store and transport. Highly recommend!

I got the Upgraded 5200°F Fireproof Document File Organizer Box for my son to store business documents in. It has good rigidity and includes handles so it can be moved easily. It is large enough to hold around 6-8 accordion files inside. Fortunately, he hasn't been able to test its fire protection abilities so we'll need to take their word for that.
