I decided to give this magnetic adapter a try after my last phone started having issues with the USB-c port from repeated plugging in and unplugging during charging. The small adapter plugs into the phone and doesn't interfere with the phone protective case (see picture) but does protrude slightly beyond my case. The magnet is strong and is easy to attach to the phone for charging, even with one hand only holding the cord of the cable (it attracts and lines up once about a half inch away. The adapter can be used for both charging and data transfer, and my initial tests indicate it works well, even if the adapter is swiveled during connection. The kit included two adapters and a tool to remove the magnetic adapter plug from your device.The only issue I found is that the adapters usb-c plug isn't as snug of a fit as I would like, and sometimes if I pull the cable off of the adapter without twisting or bending to reduce the magnetic attraction, it will pull the small usb-c adapter out instead of breaking the magnetic bond between the halves. As someone who wants the little adapter part to stay plugged into the phone all the time, this is a minor annoyance.Overall, the adapter seems to work well, and I hope it reduces wear on my usb-c port on the device.

One thing I think many of us can agree upon is the dislike for having to bend the connector end of our cable into a device. This USB-C to USB-C adapter remedies that situation by being able to articulate to a 90° angle, thus keeping our charging cable from bending. The magnets are quite strong and are securely attached. You can separately purchase a lightning or mini USB adapter. It does what it’s supposed to do, namely avoid having to bend the connecting end of your charging or data cable, but is it really worth it? If the magnetic tip is separated from the adapter, it can be interesting trying to remove it from your device. Is this a solution in search of a problem? It is designed for high-speed charging as well as high-speed data transmission. It does what it is supposed to do quite well, but do I need it? That is something only you can answer, but if you answer in the affirmative, you will not be disappointed with these adapters

I have two sets of these from different "manufactures". They are both the same, same colors, same details, so, same review for both. I do like this, they make charging things so much easier. Do not use them for data transfer or anything fancy like that. If you want those, you will need to go with the 24pin adapters. They do fast charge and at least mind are pretty sticky.Things I love:Easy to useDoes fast chargesufficiently magnet ableThings I loved less:Awkward to holdSlow dataHead can breakSo, I had one crack a head with a little pressure, not much, and it still works, just doesn't bend nicely. There is a weakness on the swivel which is present in both (go ahead and ask me how I know). That being said, if you are trying to magnetize your life, this is a great way to start. You CAN pair this with Android auto, at least, I can with mine.I recommend this usb-c magnetic adapter.
