Was hesitant to buy based on the low number of reviews. The splitter did not recognize 2nd monitor for multi screen display, forcing me to use both the built in HDMI and USB ports to get split screen performance. When using the splitter for a single monitor, HDMI2 had a lower resolution. Both ports showed a noticeable delay in response.Returned and ordered a single USB 3.0 to HDMI converter.

I could've never figured out how to get my laptop to display the 2nd and 3rd monitor independently, only duplicating. There should be easy to follow instructions included. Or maybe some reviewer please post. I am returning it. Googling "MST" mode as shown on picture did not yield a right instruction. Maybe it works but I am too busy and tired to fidget around.

I ordered this because I need to run two monitors with different content. This unit did work the first day. I plugged it into my USB port and my computer showed it in the port and also in devices. I downloaded the software into my computer which is preloaded in this device. However, on the second day, I logged into my computer and only had one monitor. This device stopped working. It does not show up in the list where my c: drive and USB lists are, however it does show up in control panel under devices. I cannot find the files that downloaded on the first day and the unit no longer works. When it did work, only one screen would show on both monitors. I then put one monitor on my laptops monitor port and one in this device. The one connected through this device had a serious lag in mouse speed. I am not returning for a refund but consider it a economical lesson. My current computer does not support the docking station I currently have and I had hoped this would be an alternative. Update: I did find the software that downloaded because I began searching for why my computer had slowed to a crawl. I thought I had a virus, but it turned out that all of my issues went away when I deleted the software from my computer. I would not recommend this as it doesn't work and causes problems.

This device works fine for my needs but I can notice some lag when using it. I got this mainly because I needed another HDMI port to hook up my projector to. I tried connecting one of my normal monitors and the projector to it and after installing the program it comes with it works fine but I can easily notice the input lag on my monitor. Not so bad when I'm using my projector to play a TV show and the picture looks fine but on my monitor I would get annoyed too quickly with how jittery the mouse looks. I ended up hooking my monitor back into the graphics card and just used windows to combine the image from my second screen with the projector and that works perfctly. The device is really compact and comes with an attached short USB cord to attach to the computer or laptop. The shortness of this cord makes it better for a laptop but it's fine for my desktop as well. The device seems to be built well and is cheap enough that I'm fine with what I got.

HDMI to USB C Hub 3.0, 3 in 1 USB C to HDMI Adapter for Monitor to Laptop with 4K HDMI, USB 3.0, PD 100W Charging, USB C Hub for Mac iPad pro MacBook ChromebookI got this for my son because he got a Capture Card so he can video some Nintendo Switch gameplay on his laptop. I don't understand any of this so here's how my son uses it. Apparently his capture card alone wasn't enough to record his game...Ok, plug Capture Card (usb) into laptop. Plug HDMI cord into Capture Card. Plug the other end of the HDMI cord into this adapter. A usbc power cord also needs to be plugged into this adapter. Finally, the usbc end of this adapter gets plugged into his Switch. He says it works great. The quality looks good. Plugs fit snuggly.

All the super thin and light laptops are great for portability. However, they have like no ports. HDMI ports cause the laptop to be thick.USB-A ports are thick - and in short supply - usually you only get ONE. In the case of Macs you get NONE.This helps in that regard. I have this in my bag all the time because you never know what a meeting room's connections will be. A portable hub like this is nice and thin and gives lots of flexibility for those situations.

This worked very well. Allowed me to connect my iPad with a USB-C port to the adapter. Connected my TV to the adapter using an HDMI CORD. I also plugged the adapter into the 20w charging adapter for my iPad. Plug and play, takes several seconds after connecting everything to connect and show up on screen, and once it did, mirrored everything beautifully, in sharp, crisp detail, HD quality like you’d expect from an HDMI connection. Everything moved fast and clean, no lag or delay. I did not think to disconnect the power source, so not sure if this would work without being connected to power or not, I just plan to connect it while in use so as not to drain battery power, just my preference. I also did not have a USB flash drive handy to test out that feature. But for my purposes, I really got this for use with my iPad only. For that it worked great. Did not heat up or even get warm to the touch while using it. For me, does the job, happy with it.
