I've used these as over-temperature cutouts for electric fans and, more notably, to control the cycle of a solar pool heater I built. It's buried in the outlet tube seen in the pic. It's connected to a relay with a flyback diode. When the temperature of the coils reaches 45°C, the pump turns on and unloads the hot water into the pool. Then it turns off when cold water reenters the coil. It's been operational all summer, so I'd say it works well.

J'utilise ces contacts bimetalliques pour faire déclencher des ventilateurs positionnés sous mes radiateurs lorsqu'ils déclenchent afin de mieux répartir la chaleur dans les pièces, ainsi j'économise de l'argent

I use this to control the fan in my media unit so that the fan comes on when my gaming console is on. I spliced the temperature switch in the negative wire to the fans and placed the temperature switch near the exhaust port of my gaming console. Works perfectly and is a cheap solution to have a temperature controlled fan.

I tested all and 2 of the 10 pack were not working. Still a decent value and seems to turn on a small DC powered fan just fine. Not sure how much temperature hysteresis they have. They are very quiet. I do wish they made a lower temperature model. I am commenting on 40C model and the N.O. option (closes upon temperature rise)

Great for the price, I taped one to a small refrigerators compressor to turn on a 4" 12v. fan powered by a wall wart. It helps cool it. Works very well. Thanks.

These seem to work well. I use them to turn on/off 12v cooling fans in a cabinet full of electronic equipment that gets quite warm.

I bought these to control computer style fans that cool my Ham radios in my shack. They kick on around 104F and shut off as soon as it gets back below that temp. I have been using them for several weeks now and they work great for my purpose. I only give them 4 stars due to having 2 bad ones in the package.

Great thermal switch. Used to engage a blower over a fuel rail of turbo engine to keep gas below 40 C with excellent results. Blower runs with 4 A and after a full year installed the switch keep working as new.Recommend.

A bit disappointed, I installed it with a small blower (110v 250w) contact at around 40c but does not disconnect even at 30c, tested with 5 of them, the switch needs to be unplugged for 10 seconds, apparently with load it keeps the temperature. I'll use it for very small projects only.

I used this for an entreatment center fan switch, worked great . Just remember thats its normally open thats why it says N.O. And when it reaches 40c or 104F it closes.

I am using this to turn a cooling fan on (and off). The switch is normally open (off).I simply taped it to a surface and it worked! When it senses temps over 40°C the switch closes (turns on) and turns on a fan I wired it to.When the fan cools the surface the sensor/switch is on, the switch opens and the fan turns off. I left it hooked up for hours and it went merrily along, turning the fan on and off automatically. I put a couple layers of electrical tape over the sensor so the switch wouldn't cool before the surface it was on.I used an infrared laser thermometer to read the temps and it switches exactly where it claims to.The "head" is a solid metal "lozenge" that appears to be very durable.Oh, it arrived very quickly. I have Prime so I think it showed up in 2 days.Pretty cool for less than a dollar per switch.
