  • The number in the product name refers to each converter’s width in inches. For example, the VariDesk Pro Plus 36 is 36 inches wide.

  • Depending on the size of the model, the maximum number of monitors can vary. The VariDesk Pro Plus 36 and 48 can accommodate up to 2 monitors, but for the VariDesk Pro Plus 30, we suggest a single monitor and laptop.

  • To ensure maximum stability, the keyboard tray is affixed to the desktop at an ideal angle for typing.

  • Our desktop converters are designed to work seamlessly with Vari Monitor arms. While other brands may work with our converters, we cannot ensure compatibility with them.

Desk is amazing, customer service not so much, atleast not in Australia. Anyhow, will buy the desk again but directly from them don't use Amazon, they apparently have separate customer service departments and direct one seems to be better. Good and sturdy desk.

I've been using this desk for about two weeks now, and I'm still trying to find a reasons why I shouldn't give it a 5/5.First of all, I've waited a long time before I deiced to dive into the stand up desk world. There is a lot of designs out there for about the same cost as this one. So, I'll tell you the things I don't like about it and the things I do like, and hope that this will help you decide. Also, I'd like to point out that I paired my desk with the Royal Anti-Fatigue Comfort Mat - Burgundy Color - 20 x 39".Cons: Just about the only thing that I could find that may be a turnoff for some is the fact that you are giving up an entire side of your desk for the VARIDESK. Just know that the desk will take up the entire surface and nothing will fit under it.Pros: The pros are easier and more obvious. I received this desk almost a week before estimated. The device came very well protected. I was able to unpack the VARIDESK and set it on my desk in about 10 minutes. Took another 15 minutes to set my monitors up, run all the cables, and clean up the cables with the bands that come with your desk.About the design: I like this design because I can fit both of my monitors without having to take off the standing arm from the monitors. I also find that having the keyboard and mouse surfaces at a lower elevation works out really well. The mouse has plenty of room to move around. The desk has "mouse space" on both sides, which would accommodate a lefty just as well.About the Stability: I find that I can securely rest the weight of my arms on it and will only slightly move. I noticed that the base has pre-drilled holes, which I suspect could be for additional anchorage to the desk if you so chose to use. I also find that I can take notes on the surface with no problem.About the Ease of Use: Moving from Stand to Sit position is a breeze, as it uses springs to help you move it up and down with very little effort. It actually takes more force to push the desk down into the Sit position.About the "Look": The finish of the desk is a smooth, glossy finish all around. All edges are rounded off all parts of it all solid black. In summary, this desk has been everything I expected: Sturdy, Easy to Use, Spacious, Beautiful, and no permanent installation or damage to my desk. Standing up gives me a change to break away from the neck/back fatigue that comes from sitting down all day. I find myself with a lot more energy and focus at the end of each day as well. My co-workers are very jealous and may soon join me.

Before the review, here's some context. I am a software engineer and sit at a computer 9-10 hours a day and it takes a toll on my back by the end of the day. As work gets busier, I sit for longer periods without realizing it. I was in the market for a standing desk and there are a lot of options out there. I have a 23" monitor and a 19" monitor + docking station/keyboard/mouse.I ultimately decided to go with the Varidesk line because I have a desk which I really like and didn't want to get rid of it. It's nothing special, but it has drawers, a file cabinet and some shelving for my printer/desktop. The other standing desks on the market are just essentially tabletops with hydraulics that move up and down - so I'd have to then get a separate file cabinet or build a cabinet system. I also just wanted to plop my monitors on something that could easily alternate between standing and sitting - wasn't enthralled with buying monitor arms or extra accessories. Now onto the actual review...I really love this thing and it absolutely solves my desire to stand more. I find myself standing whenever I am on a call, getting antsy or sick of sitting. When I get tired, I sit. A high-quality anti-fatique mat is key. I'm able to fit my large docking station platform, router, speakers, 2 monitors mentioned up above and there's still some room in between them.Moving it up and down is extremely easy - it sometimes requires a bit of a push to make sure it locks into position. But they did a really good job of making this thing lift with ease - it really does work like the videos you see. You will read some reviews that talk about it being wobbly - it's not untrue and there is some wobble. The base itself is not wobbly, but as you extend it up it tends to be more susceptible to movement. It doesn't feel unstable in the least, but it does exist. It's probably no different than a crane/cherry picker going in the air and shaking a bit as it extends. As others mention, this thing is heavy. I actually see this as an advantage - I know that if I lean on it, it's still not going anywhere. Let's face it - you're going to put it on your desk and leave it there. I don't think people are transporting these around, so I don't really get the criticism on that. You'll also see people mention that it takes up the entire desk. This is not untrue - it's a big unit. However before my Varidesk, my equipment took up the majority of my desk anyway, so I didn't see any issue with this. If you just had a laptop which takes up no space and went to the Varidesk, I guess I can understand that argument. The only gripe I have is that I wish the keyboard tray were adjustable. It's probably 2 inches higher than I'm used to/would like. It's probably more ergonomically correct than I used to have, but it will take some time to adjust. It's not a huge deal so I didn't deduct any stars, but it would be pretty handy.Overall if you have a similar use case, I think you will like this. I hemmed and hawed over which one to get, but in the end I'm really glad I went with the Pro Plus 48.

I am very happy with the VARIDESK Pro Plus 48. At first I thought I would be standing all day when I got the VARIDESK but I found out very quickly that I needed to listen to my body and stand when I needed to and sit when I needed to. I found that it helps with my lower back when I sit too long and surprisingly it helps release the tension in my shoulders when I stand to do my work. I don't feel as tired at the end of the day when I stand for a few hours during the day. I would also recommend buying the floor mat if you have hard floors. It helps cushion your feet while standing. It is easy to move raise the platform from sitting to standing. I recommend getting the Pro Plus 48 so that the keyboard is at the right height when standing. I have also been able to mount a dual monitor arm to the platform raising the monitors to a more suitable eye level when standing. How every using the monitor mount has added a little extra weight to the VARIDESK, when I raise it to the standing position the springs squeak. I know I am not a the 45 lbs limit but I am sure it is close to the 40 lbs limit with the dual mount and monitors. The only downside to the dual monitor mount is that my screens tend to bounce when I am typing; I have been able to fix this by not typing as hard on the keyboard.I would recommend the Pro Plus 48 because of the keyboard tray and the surface space you get with it. It is very sturdy. It also appears that there a couple of bolt holes in the base of the platform so that you can bolt it down if you wanted.
