This is a solid and beefy tool. It cuts through schedule 40 PVC well and feels like a quality tool. It's not as smooth as some others out there, but it will get the job done if you like it. I haven't tried a ton of these ratcheters, but the Ridgid of the same type is a little smoother and the angles fit my hands a little better. Still, this one is very nice also.

My Dad had these when he worked in landscaping over 40 years ago and they finally got dull. I ordered this for him to replace what he had and he is happy with them and says they are just like the original one he had.

High quality cutters but you can slice the tip of your thumb if it’s in the way

These are Fantastic PVP pipe cutters. I had this exact same tool for over 5 years and simply needed to replace the old set. I work with PVC pipe for landscape irrigation systems on a routine basis and this is a well built cutter. Cuts up to 1 inch size pipe.
