For this price you shouldn't expect anything amazing in terms of camera quality. 1080p 30fps. It is grainy but clear enough. It doesn't focus but you won't need to as it doesn't have a wide aperture (if I'm understanding it correctly.)It works as intended and ok for the price. You can only physically adjust the camera up or down. No side to side adjustment/rotation. Wire is not removable. Nothing is removable. Aside from the feet/mount nothing else moves.

I received my Wansview 1080P 101 Webcam with Microphone, Plug and Play, USB 2.0 on 1/14/21 I had previously tried the Wansview 1080P 102 Webcam without much luck as there were bugs and the plug and play did not work on either my windows 8.1 or window 10 computer. After several emails back and forth to China I decided to buy the 101 and review itThe product was received 2 days after ordering, well packaged and with no apparent damage. The box contained the camera and a small instruction sheet which requires one use a magnifying glass. No QR code to provide addition instruction or easier an easier to read PDF file.I plugged the camera into my HP Window 8.1 pro, Intel® I5-5200U 2.2 GHz 64 bit Laptop USB 2 port, and the software appeared to load but the camera did not come up. Nothing showed up in device manager or under imaging devices? So I tried it again. Turns out it did load but it’s not that easy on 8.1 to switch cameras after trying it with GoToMeeting I got it to work. Still not easy to switch between the laptop built in camera and the 101. But it does work fine.One major issue it the camera clip it is not very adjustable. You can’t pan up much at all so not good. When mounted on the laptop screen it is very distracting. The camera can not rotate on the clip either. Adding standard thread camera tripod screw mount would help and then it could be mounted to a tripod to allow better positioning and height elevation.I managed to mount the camera on a file rack to get it up and off my laptop screen. See pictures.That said how much can you expect from a $28.00 US camera.Be aware this company is located in China and because of the time difference it takes at lease 12-15 hours for a response from their technical support group. That’s not too bad.I would say if all your looking for is an inexpensive HD camera with a microphone. Give it a go.

Earlier this year I during the initial COVID 19 fiasco I discovered the webcam in my laptop was producing fuzzy images (which at my age isn't THAT bad a thing.....) but it was obvious I needed to replace it with an external webcam. Unfortunately, the first one I chose I didn't read enough reviews. I have a background in photography-- it was my secondary MOS in the military and I used to photograph weddings many years ago. So I'm familiar with optics.I purchased this webcam I'm reviewing after reading about twenty reviews. Really glad I did. The physical installation was easy-- really nothing to it. After I plugged it in, it took about three or four minutes for it to install the software automatically (I didn't do anything other than plug it in.) The first webcam test site I went to couldn't find it-- I hadn't waiting long enough. THe second site I went to couldn't either, but I waited another minute or so, did a refresh, and... WOW.Excellent resolution. Really crisp. Auto color correction, too.I finally went out to Zoom Meeting and asked to join their test meeting to ensure everything was up to snuff it was. I've enclosed a photo from the screen using the cam.Great cam for the money. Highly recommended.

Easy plug and play installation. No drivers needed, no set up. Windows detected the camera and set it up. Nice clear pictures. Easy to use clamp holds the camera on top of the monitor.

I like the improved quality of my live streaming video image, although there’s a little curving of the paintings on my back wall, but my computer’s audio is better... louder and clearer, than the Wansview’s which is disappointing and I am only 5 feet away. E
