Our Waverly Dark Tortoise Bridge Pins are a remarkable simulation of natural tortoiseshell. Our specially blended dark tortoise material makes a beautiful addition to a fine guitar. Light passes through, and it looks amazingly like protected hawksbill turtle shell.
Better bridge pins: machined, never molded. Our dark tortoise bridge pins, endpins and strap buttons are made of Galalith, a dense and durable casein-based material used in vintage jewelry. These pins are beautiful and improved the sound of my guitar. They seem to have increased the sustain of individual notes and improve the overall sound of the my guitar. I have an Epiphone Masterbilt MCE-500 Dreadnaught and it's such an amazing guitar I thought it deserved upgraded pins. For those of you concerned about how these fit a guitar...These don't fit my guitar perfectly and I am OK with that. They go in most of the way but not flush. They keep the string in place and don't move, so I didn't take time to sand them down. If that happens to you, sand them lightly until the fit. Eventually, I'll probably do that. Love these pins.
