This is not something that an average person could install by themselves. You have to drill into the frame sub-rails. I had to go to a shop and have them install it. After installation and a test drive, I noticed that the deflector vibrates at speeds over 40 MPH. Annoying. Let's see how long it takes for it to break. Poor electrical instructions. The mechanic had to figure out where to make the connections for the deflector light when braking.

This wind restrictor is GREAT! Mine is back lit blue and mounted in my 2006 black vette. It is truly a head turner at night. It reduces the wind and turbulence by about 50% it doesn't stop it altogether, but its not advertised that way either. What you can do after mounting it is carry on a conversation and hear your stereo, none of which I could do previously. The folks at Windrestrictor were great to deal with and answered my responses promptly. I had no problems with ordering, shipping or delivery. The written instructions were straightforward and the videos online are helpful. It took me about 1.5 hours to install and wire the Windrestrictor. The only issue I had (and it was me) was locating the brown wire to tie into. You will not go wrong buying this!

I have 05 red vert works fantastic, and had top down all winter, YES LAST WINTER keeps car warm in winter, stops all wind in summer, I have no hair to worry about but my dates do you can talk with no wind noise love it. installed myself in a few hrs, with one hand (stroke) didn't want to try electrical, local garage wired it for $50.00 other vet owners have stopped me to look at it.

Works great for reducing wind turbulence, and looks good also. Easy to install in about 1 hour. No need to take it out with top up either.
