This product seems to be a scam! None of them cut the wire size they’re supposed to.

I'm currently in the process of swapping out all of the recessed lights in my home with modern LED flat lights, and I picked this up because the process of rewiring every light is tedious. This kit was the perfect solution! After cutting off the old wire nuts, I was able to strip each wire, twist the pairs together, and then twist on the wire nut to secure them in just seconds. The wires were trimmed perfectly, and everything was rock solid after being twisted together. This will save me hours of manual twisting as I replace the 40 or so remaining recessed lights in my house. If you're doing a wiring project, you need this!

These work great to strip wire quickly. These are made of aluminum and feel solid in the hand. They're bigger than I expected initially, but they do the job easily. They come with a few wire nuts and an extra blade. If you have a home remodeling project, these will definitely come in handy when doing the electrical work.

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. He says it works perfectly to strip the right amount of wire and he likes all the accessories such as the wire caps and adapters.

I do a lot of wire work. Any tool that saves me time and effort is worth buying.I’ve seen these around but was skeptical - you have to carry a drill and fiddle with different parts. My favorite time-saving wire tool for indoor work till now was a Romex stripper which cost me almost 50 bucks - and I’d buy it again at twice the price. For stripping a lot of individual wires in batch-mode not nicking the metal, and saving my wrists, I usually use one of those lever-action tools. Well, it’s very cold outside now, and I had to do some solar-panel wiring. Big, expensive, teflon (XLPE)-coated wires that you don’t want to damage. Lever action didn’t do well. So, I tried these out.Once you set it up as to depth - there is a scale on the quick connect - you just go at it.There is also a wire twist tool, a nut twister, and an extra blade in the nice case. I didn’t use those. It is worth it to me to use this product and carry around a drill when there are many wires to do, particularly if they are large gauge, and especially when the insulation is cold.

This kit covers the most common wire gauges found in US homes for 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 amp circuits (14, 12, 10, 8, 6 gauge respectively). These make it quick and easy to strip ends of wire for wiring up switches and outlets. I plan on gifting a similar kit to a friend that is working to build out and wire up a barn/workshop and I am sure this will help him work better and faster. The inclusion of the wire twister and wire nut driver is nice because some kits don't include them.

I have been changing the switches and receptacles (outlets) in my house since its 33 years old and I'm pretty sure all of them are the same age as the house. The wire stripper is super easy to use once you get the hang of it. Make sure to set your drill to clockwise rotation (righty tighty) and hold the trigger while inserting the wire into the wire stripper. I would highly recommend using a test piece of wire to figure out the desired length based on your application. I was able to use the wire stripper on brand new wire and existing wire inside the electrical box. It is certainly easier to use on new wire because it is straight while the existing wire inside the electrical box is not straight. After using pliers to straighten out the existing wire, I was able to use the wire stripper but it took some extra effort to make sure the wire made it to the internal adjustable stop to strip the desired amount of insulation. There is not much space inside the wire stripper when running the wire through and it makes total sense when using the correct wire stripper based on the gauge wire. I did notice the insulation does get caught up at times but it was easy to clean out with a wire. I would take my time when cleaning around the blade and what I use to avoid damaging it.The wire twister seems to work but I found it doesn't work consistently when twisting 3 strands of 16 gauge. It might work consistently for 4 or more strands of 16 gauge. When it did work with the 3 strands of 16 gauge, it started to get the job done but I had to use pliers to make sure the twist was tight and secure. The old school twist method with 2 pliers does work well but take patience and effort. I just don't want to have the wiring be loose for any reason and cause other problems later on.The wire nut tool was pretty good as well. I was using older wire nuts that were smooth and have fins but they started clicking once a certain amount of tightness was reached (wasn't tight enough though). I of course had to hand tighten them a bit more to make sure the connection was secure. Again, I don't want anything to be loose and cause other problems later on. I think the wire nuts that have grooves (and no fins) would work much better with the wire nut tool because it would seat much better inside the tool.I would recommend this set because the kit comes with the tools needed to prep the wires for installing a switch or receptable, twist wires inside the electrical box, and install the wire nut on those connections. The best part is the storage box to keep all the pieces together. I found that using a magnetic bit holder on my drill made life easier to quickly switch between the 3 different tools. It might seem fairly simple to state for those with years of experience using a drill but it's a tip a novice would appreciate.

Both the wire twister and cap insulation tool work well. The stripper clogs after 3-4 wires. Because of that it is faster to use standard wire strippers.
