They listed the number of layers as having four layers of taffeta and one liner layer, but it's really three layers of taffeta with one liner layer. That being said, it provided an amazing amount of poofiness! I'm 5'4", 170 lbs and it hit right above my feet. I was able to wear it a little higher up so it would be ankle length. The tie and Velcro at the waist was not strong at all, so if you're at the high end of their size guide (like me), you'll either need safety pins or just sew it closed or sew on a waist extender. All my fellow curvy gals know what I'm talking about. So, this isn't the best functional design, but for the price, you can fix it and have great poofiness!

I needed a hoop about 50”, this claims to be 47”, and is barely 40” at it’s widest point.

I bought this for my granddaughter to wear under her banquet gown. The one that came with the dress was waay too short. This one was perfect (she is 5'5"). It is really big as the picture shows and made her dress really pretty and full. She was truly the bell of the banquet.

Great construction! Very sturdy under a satin wedding dress, with a 2in elastic waistband that doesn't slip down or dig into the skin.Also really happy with how fast it arrived!Great to walk in since it holds the front hem out a tiny bit, and kneeling during the wedding will be much easier too. Very glad not to have the usual bell/half sphere or cone shape of most hoopskirts. This one keeps the front of my dress flat while holding out the back train and sides without heavy netting/frontline. Very glad I got this so I don't need those underskirts & rustle like a bag of potato chips everywhere .Definitely get this if you plan to have a dangling lace or crystal/beaded trim that you don't want dusting the floor.

it was perfect from the long part but the waist is very small. great product they just need to. make it with more waist sizes

The hoop skirt is great! It was a little smaller (in diameter) than I had thought, but it turned out to be perfect. It makes the dress look exactly like I had envisioned. The material is thin, but isn’t see-through - it is exactly what I was wanting, since I live in a hot climate and crinoline would have been way too hot. It may not be a skirt that I can reuse (the material is thin), but it would be repairable. There was no odd odor to the skirt, either. Thank you guys so much!

Gorgeous! So full. Exactly what I needed. Waistband is elasticated with a Velcro tab for closure. There is also a tie on top of that, so with the Velcro closed and the tie tied, it isn't going anywhere. My only concern is that I don't think the vecro will close on bigger girls. I'm a medium in most clothes and the vecro closure is even a bit tight on me. But, you don't have to use the vecro because there is also a tie, so it doesn't matter as much, I just personally feel it's more secure with the vecro.
