This goes well with the matching merino undershirt top. The elastic waist is not too tight, nor too loose. They come up to a natural waistline. You need some Woolite to wash them. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I love these pants. They're warm, don't stretch and really do stay clean. We've had below 0 weather pretty consistently and I wouldn't even think of going outside without them.

I strongly recommend these pants. Warm, soft. They are a bit big but wool so they will shrink as much or as little as I wish. You can't go wrong with these.

This is my second purchase and the bottoms are as lovely as the top. Right out of the bag there is no scent or odor whatsoever. (An issue for me.) They are soft and very very comfy. I really like the extra wide band at the bottom, it seems to keep you that much warmer. Someone complained this material was thin but I don't find it the least thin. They are oraganic wool, they feel really warm but they let your skin breath - amazing. Yes, they are a little pricey but I'd rather pay for these than $20-30 dollars for something made less well. For me it's worth it. I learned that after years of buying cheaper stuff. I'm planning to slowly add to my collection with more tops, camis, etc.

I had to buy two sizes larger than my usual to get a good fit. The organic wool seems good quality, and the pants are well made. They're thin, and I'd have liked them to be a little thicker for warmth and durability. The elastic waist was too tight for me, though I'm a thin person. I cut open the channel and added a piece of elastic to make the waist more comfortable. (The better made European wool underwear bottoms have a pre-cut opening in the waist so you can reach the elastic, which has a button and a few buttonholes, so you can easily adjust the waist size.)

These are the best long underwear I have ever had. I am so pleased with them. I have worn them almost every day this winter. So warm and cozy, but not bulky at all.
