Hardware used on this chair is zinc-plated for strength and protection from rusting. Washable, colorfast canvas covers are available in several colors. The covers are snag resistant. All wood parts are precision milled, pressed together and nailed for maximum rigidity. Chair has extra heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant, zinc-plated steel braces. The extra-strong let braces are nailed securely into the legs. Chairs have self-leveling plastic glides on the legs to help prevent marring of floors. The screws make these glides easily replaceable. The seating material slips into a specialty designed groove and no tools are needed. All back covers have a non-sag feature, one size seat and back fits all director chairs.

Damaged, poorly made (for example, paint was blistered), poorly packaged and misleadingly advertised as a "Telescope" director chair. Telescope is a brand name. Also the company refused to refund entire purchase amount. I have been ordering products from Amazon for years. I have only returned things a handful of times. This was ridiculous

I was hoping this made in USA would be flawless. Far from it. The finish is dripping and rough. Maybe I was expecting too much.

These are OK..One has a crack along the back of arm rest and the paint is thick and drippy looking. They also will not lock in place as the fabric is too tight and this causes the legs to be uneven and wobbly. If I had more time before my event or if I would have paid full price they would be returned!

Ordered 2 of the black painted chairs with white canvas. Had to return one due to a significant split in the wood and received a replacement. I belatedly discovered that one of the two chairs has a leg about 3/4" shorter than the other three legs, but I got tired of the return routine and since I don't use them that often anyway, I put a few washers under the short leg and called it a day. Paint peels quite readily. Think of them as cheap, disposable items for short term use.

We have been looking for something like this for over 2 years and found it, here, on Amazon. This product is much better than the chairs it replaced. My wife is very particular and she was quite satisfied with the product. They are more comfortable than the chairs we had and they have made several improvements over the previous manufacturer's design, including a much sturdier foot rest which is important since most of the previous chairs had problems with people putting their full weight on the foot rest whereupon it would snap off and need to be re-applied with a screw etc.. With the new design, that appears to be impossible. The varnish finish is much better than the previous. In addition, the canvas backs are well constructed & attractive and easily slid into the groves that were made for them. My only complaint is that the arm rest seems to have been built for more than one configuration and thus has an additional hole / bored-out area for a spindel. I wish they had plugged these and made them flush with the rest of the underside of the arm rest. Otherwise, they are perfect. In fact, I am going to order another one.
