A bit lower wattage then expected. Feels like it should have been warmer. The bulbs are quite small but that was my missread too. Otherwise they work pretty good.

I use one of these in a clamp light, and place it at the bottom of a 4 shelf mini greenhouse. The greenhouse is either in the garage (where it's never less than 50 degrees) or on our protected 'catio' enclosed patio, where it is more susceptible to the outside temperature. They deliver a decent amount of heat for my purposes, and they're very stable. I was using incandescent bulbs, but this is a better option.

Our laundry room has three water pipes but no heat, so the winter cold is a concern. A power strip with those plug-in bulb sockets easily keep the room above freezing.

The lamps do not output 50 watts of power. I measured. At 120 volt they should draw around 0.4 amps. they only draw around 0.2 amps so not enough power therefore not enough heat as advertised.

I'm giving this lamp a five star rating because this little turtle Zoe absolutely loves it!!! She stays under it most of the day. She is more active and loves eating right out of our hands. She is our grandkids, they moved out and left her with us for now.. Nana takes care of her as she was our own.. ❤️ I gave it a 5 star because it came with 2 lamps!😜

I use these in an insulated pain cabinet. It is in the unheated garage, so I put in a temperature controller and one of these heaters. During the coldest of winter, the temperature in the cabinet stays above 35 degrees. I could set it for any other temperate. I got two of these thinking that I might need 100 watts of heat, but one works fine.

I have a ball python and I like to keep my house way colder at night than usual for a ball python in it’s natural habitat. I tried red lights and night lights but it always breaks or seems to confuse my snake. The ceramic bulb keeps the natural lighting of being out at night while keeping it warm enough for the snake. Plus, I have had them for 2 months and the 1st bulb is still going strong

Needed some heat in my sons Pac Man Frog terrarium but didnt want the bright light for night time when he is sleeping. I bought a metal housing, and a thermostat to turn it on and off when needed to keep it at the correct temperature and it works perfectly. It probably runs 24/7 (with some down time when the thermostat turns it on and off) and has been running perfectly for over a month.
