I was hesitant to order these after reading the mixed reviews. These cutters are cast aluminum and the set I received were adequately sharp to cut strap leather cleanly. Definitely not for anything but very light use. The best cutters are 10x more expensive and made of steel. That said, these were a bargain and worked well for me.

Ok, look these aren't the highest quality product but they get the job done for what I do. If you do tons of leather work these won't hold up. The quality is ok but for what I do they work very well. They arrived sharp and ready to use. I'm happy with them and can recommend them just know you are not getting a really high quality tool.

Not at all sharp so sharpen before using. OK if you just need them occasionally. After sharpening did work ok but not ok enough for commercial work.

They work. But they’re not the sharpest. I’m a beginner so these are good enough for me. If you are a serious leather crafter these won’t cut it. Literally. Ha! Sometimes when I cut the edge of a piece of leather with the shelf round punch it isn’t sharp enough so it leaves loose fibers from the leather. UPDATE: after attempting to use this a little more, I am returning them. The are dull and do not cut through leather.

I am a newish Leather Crafter #UniqueLeatherCrafting and am learning a lot as I go along. As you are beginning you can not just go out and buy all the best stuff and you never know what you will like to use. I bought these to try them and they have come in handy a few times. They are very sharp and cut trough thick leather like butter. I recommend these for anyone starting out or looking for good tools on the lower cost side. You can see the front edges of the blades in the caddy picture and they are in the middle left.
