After having this in service for approx. 1 week, it developed problems with locking up, after working with customer service and doing updates, still had the issue, contacted customer service and they arranged to have the unit returned and shipped me a new one, thanks Brenda, new unit appears to be functioning properly

It take me a couple of days to get it work on my phone, i get great tech help from the company . Once i was able to get it work in my phone it's just amazing. I love this product.

The system was really easy to configure.On the mobile app I view live feed and watch the recordings.I used their support on facebook for a few questions I had and they were very responsive and friendly.I highly recommend.

if you want to mask because it starts recording because of motion the area is solid gray even on your screen even though I mask a tree with leaves on it I still want to see the area not a big grayed out area. I did not care for the software you download because it has a top ribbon that you can pick how many camera's you want to see the ribbon going down the side shows the camera numbers, now here is the problem one time you pick you can't hide the ribbons and on a laptop screen they take up a big portion of the screen. my other system you could hide after you picked what you wanted to pick and see just camera's. also a few times it has just rebooted for no reason at all, now I have only had this system for a few weeks now but if I had know these little flaws I would of picked a different brand.

After trying to get this working I gave up and contacted support. The cameras would not show and the box was not accepting web connections to configure. Zosi claims things are fine after multiple emails and could not answer simpe questions. Thney now want full access to our network including potentially sensitive information to troubleshoot the cameras.with the box and we need to investigate the cameras. . I will never buy Zosi again and recommend the same to my clients. We will stick with better known name brands, not rebranded chinese DVR's.

Update August 2019 - Last month I experienced a power outage and following that my unit stopped working - it would start up but hang on the splash screen and beep every few minutes when it tried to restart. I tried flashing the firmware to no avail. I contacted support providing them all the pertinent information - model number, serial number, what happened, what I tried. Over the course of a week they advised me to try exactly what I had already tried, requested my model and serial number which I had already provided, and finally said they'd ship me a replacement once I provided the tracking number for my return. A week later and I still don't have the tracking number for the replacement. ZOSI Support is disappointing and a chore to deal with. It is OBVIOUS they work off a script and don't bother to read everything you tell them. If I ever do receive my replacement unit I highly doubt I will try my luck with ZOSI in the future. Good support is what sets you apart in this world of everyone copying everyone else's designs and churning them out dirt cheap, and as of this moment ZOSI does not have good support. Dropping 2 stars off my review as a result.Original review -Overall I'm happy with this model. I started with the 720P version on a lightning deal last summer. After a neighbor had someone rummage through his girlfriends car overnight and I couldn't make out any details of the perps when they tried MY car door, I decided to upgrade. Glad I did. The resolution improvement utilizes the capability of the 1080 cameras I added to my system. Now all my cameras are 1080. The ONLY gripe I have about this version is that they haven't enabled administration via a web browser in the firmware. The old unit could be logged into from my local network, albeit from the dreaded Internet Explorer browser only. Web administration provides for much more precise setup than the finicky on screen "keyboard" and MUCH easier review and capture of video clips and snapshots. If they'd just enable that feature I'd give it five stars. Tech Support told me that it's the newest model so that feature isn't available but they are working on it. The setup defines HTTP ports so the framework is there, it just needs to be turned on. Support for real web browsers (meaning NOT IE) would be an even bigger plus. I haven't tried motion detection on this unit yet, it was a dismal failure on the old model so I didn't base my purchase or review on that feature.
