The markings are very difficult to read. Off by at least 3* C when reading without a magnifying glass. It would have been a better product to have both C and F readings not just C and have the thermometer itself where the light could make reading easier.

I was very excited to buy this thermometer. I was planning on using it to check the water temperature when I was dipping in the ocean. I only got to use it once as the thermometer somehow detached from the lanyard clip and ring so I was just left with the clip and the top of the thermometer case when I took it out of the water! Very disappointing.
