Our good old Bosch Silence Plus 44dBA dishwasher still runs great after 9 years of at least twice daily use. A triumph of German engineering. The mesh on the fine particle filter was torn and the filter needed to be replaced. This filter fit like the original. It may be a little more rigid, put it snapped right in with a push. The mesh had the same density as the original and it caught particles as expected. A great replacement of the original that is much more expensive and getting harder to find.

Every few months, I have to pull the filter out and clean it by hand. Its gross, so I try hard to do a thorough job to avoid having to do it again anytime soon (pic included of what I pulled out). Having a spare enables us to run the dishwasher without immediately needing to scrub the filter. I can set it aside for later, let it dry to sanitize, or even rinse it off and throw it in with the dishes while the spare filter takes its place. A dishwasher should take the yucky jobs.This filter comes with the internal support as well, but we didn’t bother popping off the existing Bosch support out. Just popped the filter tube off and slapped this one into place. So far it works like OEM and I regret not getting a spare filter sooner.
