these are decent wire splicers. i like these a lot better than the ones that just push in. these have a small lock down tab that holds the wire more securely.obviously you still need to splice your wires in a junction box, but these are a very easy way to do so. I like how compact they are. the flat shape helps keep them neat and tidy in the junction box.I was also pretty surprised at how full the box was. I guess that doesnt really matter bc it comes down to how many are in the box, but it is completely stuffed full.its the little things, you know?

These are not the highest quality clips but seem to do the job. I would not use them in a commercial environment.

Easy to use. Not sure how they would work out on something like 14 g wire. But I'm using these with 18 g speaker wire to set up a switching configuration. Worked great.

These are very helpful and easy to use. They are time saving and seem to hold well just make sure you pull the lever to 90 degrees to open the contacts, push in wire then snap shut.

I don't do a ton of home electronics projects, but I do occasionally have a need to splice and connect lighting or other electrical wire. I had never used the lever-style wire nut before but was attracted to the simplicity and potential ease of use, so I ordered this box of 125. Here are my thoughts.Pros:- Simple, stable, secure, solid connection. These make splicing wire a breeze, and are more secure than a traditional wire nut. Simply lift both levers to vertical, insert your stripped wire into each end, and lock the levers down. The wires are locked firmly in place and directly against the copper bus connector.- Inline style. These are perfect if you aren't just looking for a butt joint, but instead want the junction inline. They potentially take up less space that a wire nut, and due to the stable secure connection, are less likely to be inadvertently pulled apart.- Low resistance copper bus connector. I tested the connection using 24 AWG stranded wire and a multi-meter, and the resistance was very low. Some have argued that these connector reduce the overall contact patch between connected wires, increasing resistance, but the difference was small enough to be negligible for me.- Reusable / replaceable. The lever connector allows for easy disconnection of the splice and practically guarantees a good connection without any worries.- 125 pieces means I will likely never ever run out.Cons:- When I ordered these, due to the photos used in the description showed a variety of 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire connectors, so I thought that's what I would receive. These are ONLY 2-wire connectors. I would have much preferred an assortment of multiple different connectors.- Works with braided wire, but probably best used with thicker gauged solid-core wire. I tested with braided 24 AWG, and did see it was possible to break individual strands of the stranded wire, so if there will be any tension in your application, I would try to stick with solid core wire.I think this is a great product at a reasonable price. If you do a lot of wire splicing, these are a great option.

Upon receiving the bucket of 100 Lever Wire Connectors, the first thing that stood out was the professional packaging. The connectors arrived in a sturdy, well-sealed bucket that not only protected the items during transit but also made storage convenient. Each connector was individually compartmentalized within the bucket, preventing any mix-up and ensuring that everything was in place.Ease of UseOne of the standout features of these connectors is their ease of use. The lever mechanism is intuitively designed, making the process of connecting and disconnecting wires straightforward even for those who may not be highly skilled in electrical work. The levers themselves are well-engineered, providing a firm grip and a satisfying click when they engage. This click ensures that the wire is securely connected without any risk of accidental disconnection.Durability and Build QualityThe build quality of the connectors is exceptional. Made from high-grade materials, these connectors are robust and durable. The plastic casing is sturdy and seems to withstand repeated use without cracking or becoming brittle. Additionally, the metal contacts within the connectors are well-crafted, providing a reliable and stable electrical connection. I have used these connectors in various environments, including in my home workshop and during some DIY electrical repairs, and they have consistently performed well.PerformanceIn terms of performance, these connectors have exceeded my expectations. The connections are secure and maintain a strong electrical signal without any noticeable loss in conductivity. I tested these connectors with a range of wire gauges, from smaller wires for low-voltage applications to thicker wires for higher current scenarios, and they handled all with equal efficiency. There was no overheating or degradation of performance, which is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of electrical systems.VersatilityThe versatility of these connectors is another key advantage. They are suitable for a wide range of applications, from simple household wiring projects to more complex electrical installations. The connectors accommodate various wire sizes and are compatible with both solid and stranded wires. This flexibility makes them a valuable addition to any toolbox, whether for professional electricians or DIY enthusiasts.Installation TipsTo get the best performance from these connectors, here are some helpful tips:Strip Wires Correctly: Ensure that the wires are stripped to the correct length before inserting them into the connector. Too much exposure can lead to short circuits, while too little can result in a poor connection.Check Wire Placement: Before closing the lever, double-check that the wires are properly aligned within the connector. Misalignment can cause connectivity issues.Ensure Secure Closure: Make sure the lever is fully engaged and locked into place. A partially closed lever can lead to intermittent connections.Regular Inspection: For critical applications, periodically inspect the connectors to ensure they remain secure and intact.Safety ConsiderationsSafety is paramount when dealing with electrical components, and these connectors adhere to high safety standards. The robust design minimizes the risk of accidental disconnection, which can prevent potential electrical hazards. However, as with any electrical work, it’s essential to follow standard safety practices, including turning off power sources before making any connections and using insulated tools.Comparison with Other ConnectorsIn comparison to other types of wire connectors, such as twist-on connectors or push-in connectors, these lever connectors offer several advantages. Unlike twist-on connectors, which require twisting and can sometimes result in loose connections if not done correctly, lever connectors provide a more secure and straightforward connection process. They also eliminate the need for additional tools, as no crimping is required.Push-in connectors, on the other hand, can sometimes be less reliable over time, especially with larger wire gauges. The lever mechanism in these connectors offers a more consistent and dependable connection, reducing the likelihood of issues related to wire slippage or degradation.Long-Term ReliabilityHaving used these connectors for several months now, I can confidently say they demonstrate long-term reliability. The connectors have been subjected to various stress tests, including vibration and temperature fluctuations, and they continue to perform flawlessly. There has been no noticeable wear or degradation, which speaks to their high-quality construction and effective design.

This is the first time I have used these type of connectors and I could not get the unit to clamp down on the wires and hold them securely. The wires kept pulling out. This could be user error but I ended up using conventional wire nuts instead.
