About this item

  • Slow Release Design: Each tree watering bag has 20 gallon capacity to ensure that your trees receive plenty of water during the dry season or early planting. Water is released slowly and seeps into the ground to avoid waste. Water is released over a period of approximately 8 hours.
  • Heavy Duty Material: Made of durable PVC tarpaulin that is UV resistant. Designed with wide fill holes for universal sized hoses and a sturdy handle for extended use.
  • Large Capacity: Our tree watering bags hold up to 20 gallons of water to sustain trees over time. Especially great for drought or hot areas. Our tree water bag will save your trees and free up your spare time.
  • Deep Root Watering: Our tree water bags deliver water deep into the soil to promote root development and protect trees from hot sun, drought, and extreme weather, keeping them hydrated and healthy during the hot summer months.
  • Easy To Use: It is very easy to use, simply wrap the tree water bag around the trunk of the tree, tighten the zipper and pour the water into the bag. For larger trees, two of these tree watering bags can be pulled together.

Only a couple worked. The others did not ever empty. They break easy also - very thin material.

I'm not entirely sure of the capacity but it definitely seems like more than 5 gallons. Basically you wrap this around the trunk of the tree, zip it up, and then there's a little hole at the top to insert your hose. You CAN walk away for a bit while it fills up but I found myself wanting to baby it so that it fills out correctly. I noticed it starting to lean this way or that while it was filling so I made sure it was level as it expanded. I got the feeling that it might bend or fold over at some point, possibly taking my small tree with it.Anyway, the water seeps slowly through the skin of the bag, and it takes about 2 days for it to fully drain out. That's a nice slow release. So it does the job, but frankly a 5-gallon bucket and a drill with a tiny bit would work just the same. So... I'm in the middle of the road on this one.

I ordered these to slow water a couple trees not getting hit with the drip system yet. They work fine but are meant for trees younger than two of the 3 I am using them for so they dont zip closed all the way.I have a makeshift drip system set up to fill them on a timer. This method is working better since the soil here is very thirsty and the wind scrubbing can be pretty intense. So the slow water closer to the truck means, while not optimal to water so close to the truck, the water has a chance to soak the ground under it since it covers the soil a bit. These new trees need 5 -15 gallons a week... Sometimes twice. So filling these once a week is pretty convenient and the amount of water isn't so much at once that I am fixing tree water wells all the time.

I've seen these watering bags many times and wondered if they were worth owning. I've got 3 new trees, which were not cheap. I'd like to give them a chance to grow, so I ordered these watering bags. They are super easy to use. The bags are large and have a long zipper along the side. I simply wrapped them around my trees, zipped them up and filled them with water. Simple to install and fill. I used them on new, small trees, but they could easily fit on trees with a trunk of 4 inches or more. There doesn't appear to be any holes in the bottom, so I don't know how the water seeps slowly out, but it does. To test this, I filled a bag with as much water as would fit, then waited. Five hours later, a little more than half the water was out of the bag. These bags represent good value. They are well worth the money to keep expensive trees moist and hopefully healthy. They function as expected. If needed, I will order again.

The tree watering bags were exactly what I had hoped in every way, except one. We planted a dozen new trees and used these bags to keep them watered. The listing said that they'd slowly water the tree's roots over a period of eight hours. The only problem was that when we returned to check on the trees two days later only two of the bags had fully drained. The others still held all 20 gallons of water. I used a push pin and made a few holes in the bottoms of the bags. Three days later they still had barely drained, so I punched in several more holes in the bottoms and lower sides of the bags. I double checked the listing to see if it said the customer was supposed to make their own holes. It does not.

These don't work!! One bag didn't even have the zipper sewn on. Supposed to empty in 5 to 8 hours. They didn't even empty in more than 24 hours. Crap product!
