If you are ordering this product you probably know that you need a respirator when using because the powder is so fine. Please see the pics to get an idea of what happened the first time I opened this item. With no safety seal, the powder was pressurized and even before the lid was off, it was all over. In addition, there was a hair in the product. With lack of safety and purity precautions, I don't know that I can use this in good conscience.

This is mild, organic and biodegradable which makes it better for the skin. I bought it to make bath bombs but discovered it can make a myriad of products.We had fun experimenting with my daughter as first time DIYers and were actually very proud to create bath bombs from scratch.It's also great value for money for the quantity you get.

I throw this in my sugar/salt scrub cuz i like having a non liquid foamer in it and it does so well. It makes it just melttttt on and really wash away the dead skin, better than without it and using body wash after. I dont use a whole lot but I'll definitely rebuy when I need more. Easy to work with and it dissolves easily

I have been making bath bombs for a while and was interested in expanding my recipe to include clay and an emulsifier. I decided to try SCI because it is derived from coconuts.My bath bombs came out great and the SCI helped keep the clay from leaving residue in the tub.The SCI is a very, very fine powder so it does fill the air when you open the jar. I didn't know to expect that when I first used the powder but after that I started wearing a mask. I have a 2091 respirator that I use for pouring resin and it was able to protect me from breathing the SCI.I would recommend this SCI powder for bath bombs with clay with the caveat that you should probably wear a mask rated for organic material when you use this powder just because it is so fine and fills the air when the jar is opened.

There is no seal underneath the lid so when you open it it kind of goes everywhere. Because it's so fine you need a mask when handling this because I ended up coughing a lot. I use it in some homemade soaps and things and it helps add some lather.
