Glued with Gorilla glue to top of 2x2" black aluminum posts to match the same style finials on metal fence pickets. Ultimately using to prevent birds from perching on the flat posts & making a mess of things. Been a few weeks & glue is holding firm. I wish there was a better means to affix them permanently, but glue will have to do to prevent the "do"...
