This is the oddest blade I've ever used. The top of it is a dark metal, and seems quality. The bottom sliding part between the blade and the clippers is plastic. It never completely cliped into the receiver like it should. I can pop it off without pressing the release button. But most concerning to me is how very hot it gets and how quickly it happens. In minutes it was untouchable it was so hot. I do not see this as a blade I would want to use close to any skin.

We had been until recently using an actual brand Andis ceramic blade for our Andis pet clippers to give our Yorkies summer trims, and it was loud, overheated frequently and our Yorkies hated it. This new blade here cuts like butter! I literally did my female Yorkie three times as fast with this blade on compared to the Andis ceramic blade we had on before. It also did not get as hot even towards the end of the trim. The clipper runs quieter and smoother which makes for especially my female Yorkie to be a lot calmer and more cooperative. First time I have not had it be a pain to get through the whole trim session with her. We used it on our male Yorkie who has coarser hair than our female and it cut equally as well on him. Clean up is easy especially if you use a jar of the blade Care Plus to dip it in and run it after you finish using it. I'll update this review if I see any issues with it going forward but as of right now this is the best blade set I've gotten, and I've tried quite a few

This blade should work. It fit my old Andis easily. It cut well, although slowly, and it made a loud sound, and a high pitched whine. My dogs are very used to being clipped and they did not care for it. I put on one of my old blades and the difference was vast. Not worth the money IMHO.

Every groomer knows you can't have enough 10 blades, especially to be as sanitary as possible so you can have one or two 10 blades for the privates (not just for sanitary reasons, but if one gets hot during the sanitary trim) and the rest of your 10 blades for under guards, feet, ears, eyes, etc. I'm no longer a professional groomer, so I don't know how long it takes for these to get hot, however.

I’m a professional groomer and a #10 blade is my best friend. You can never have too many. This came oiled and packaged well. It is really sharp and quiet. It takes a minute to heat up but it does get hot. So you have to be aware of that. Can’t speak on the lifespan of this blade as I’ve just started using it.

Standard 10 blade. Fits my Andis pulse zr II clippers. Use this size for sanitary trims. Can't say how it holds up to sharpening but so far it cuts well.
