My ceiling fans are about 15 feet up and have about 2 feet of chain. I rarely change the speed of them, but a couple times a year I do have to reverse them. When I do, I have to bring in a ladder to climb up and pull the chain to stop the fan, then reverse it. I just added 5 feet of chain, I can now step on a chair and reach the chain. I can also get my extendable pole and reach the switch to reverse it. No more dragging a ladder in and climbing to the top to reach it. These worked out great and I look forward to an easier safer future.

I used this to fix the pull string on my garage light and it worked perfect! It was a little big but the connector that comes with it holds the smaller beads just fine!
