At first I was very impressed with this kit as it comes with pretty much everything you need: heat shrink, fuse holders, and ring terminals. The outer jacket feels great and is easy to work with, but the actual thickness of the wire isn't even close to 10 gauge. I'd say it's definitely a 12 gauge at best.The thick jacket does resemble a 10 gauge thickness, so I guess there is something to durability but I would not run more than 25-30 amps across this wire instead of the implied 40 amps of the fuses, especially in runs longer than 10 feet as it may start to overheat. Perfect for a small 8-10inch subwoofer, 4 channel speaker amp, or an LED light bar. Anything more than that and the safest option would be to get true 10 or 8 gauge wire.

Going to use on a multi solar panel project to run 5 panels together in parallel…so far, thick insulation and fine wires…feels like it’ll work for the 30 amp load it’s hoping to see
