When used with polyethylene tubing, which is a bit more rigid, the tubing comes unseated from the barbs and leaks. I will be trying a product with more barbs and see if that works. These might work OK with other softer tubing like silicone.

We used them for a project school science fair - we dealt with water and there were no leaks. bingo! easy to connect to a silicon tube even 5 yo could do it.
