It can be used as a replacement switch, or used with a wired contact for a Honeywell, Ademco, GRI, DSC, Boch, among others. Although the photo shows 1, this is for a package of 10 Brand NEW Plunger or Ball switches, with screws. They are Quick Switch brand. When the plunger ball is depressed the loop is closed. Amazon overnight did just that: ordered at 11 AM Thurs they came at 9:30 am Friday. All 10 units tested good (less than 0.5 ohms). Perfect fit for my house. Note that these units do not have screw terminals so I soldered them to the house wires.

Our house has an older Brinks system and we recently replaced our french doors leading out of the sunroom to our deck so we needed a new switch to install on the new door since the old switch is almost 20 years old. This replacement switch works like a charm and very easy to install yourself if you are handy. So far I have no complaints but only wish I could buy single switches for cheaper since I really didn't need a 10 pack but they are so expensive to buy as single items that I bought the bulk pack to have a few extras.

This was a great replacement for the old plunger type ADEMCO switch. It fits in the in old switch location without any modifications, minus connecting the wires.
