What are you doing for visitor tracking in your school? With all the security threats we need to know who is visiting our facilities, where they are going, and when they leave. I recommend using these badges to improve your visitor program. Have visitors sign out a badge, surrender a photo ID, indicate where they are headed in your facility and for how long, and then track their departure by signing them out when they return. No visitor should be in your facility without a credential. This is a quick, easy step towards improving your school security efforts. You can make it more complex later, but we all need to take steps to keep our students and staff safe. Tracking visitors is also for their benefit because they are not familiar with your emergency procedures. What if you do a building evacuation and you need to account for visitors? Do you know who is on your campus? Again, this simple tool and system can be a great help.
