These are pretty good post bases. They're not quite as robust and heavy duty as I hoped; I can flex the metal with my bare hands, and I'm not a super strong person. But they're well coated and match the dimensions of the ones I've previously purchased from the big box stores. They're about 5 and 3/4" at the top (standard lumber measurement for 6x6 posts) and only 5 and 1/2" at the very bottom, so I've had to shave a bit of material from the wood to make it fit. That's true of the big brand bases, too, though--and I'd rather have to sand away a little wood to have a nice, tight fit than risk having the post loose in its bracket.
