I know a lot of people will tell you don’t bother with these, but they really do work. They absorb gases and most importantly they keep the cable clamp from sitting right down on the terminal which can cause corrosion. It mainly depends on the type of clamp you are using. The big thick post clamp type with two bolts you tighten down to hold the wire? Absolutely I would use these. A modern car with a metal connector and a small bolt encased in plastic so it never touches the post anyway? I wouldn’t bother.Plus they’re Christmas colors. Who doesn’t like red and green?

I don't know why these silly things work to keep corrosion at bay but they do work! Who am I to question the magical powers of a simple little disc??

These went on a golf cart battery posts, and the washer's hole was larger than I wanted. I used them, and I'm certain they'll be fine. Just not a tight fit around the posts.
