We have a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek XV and it seems to go through brake lights pretty fast. If you have this car check on YouTube because there are videos showing you how to remove the tail light unit in seconds rather than floundering around trying to figure it out.The 7443 brake light has a double filament, one for regular tail light and the other for extra light during braking. So there are two filaments that can fail rather than the usual singleton. I always use a clean handkerchief or similar to avoid touching the glass when I am putting in the new bulb.These bulbs from Leechio will keep you going for a while. The smart little red and blue box has ten of them nestled in there. Mine arrived in perfect condition despite all that fragile glass. They offer excellent value at less than a dollar each. The fancy new equivalent LED versions are more like $12 each. Probably not 12 times more bright or long lasting.This will be a very handy box to keep on the spares shelf. I always mark their purpose "Crosstrek Brake" in large Sharpie on the box so it all makes sense in a few months time when you can't remember where they go.
