Well, I just got these in and spent 30 minutes trying to get them to light-up, with no success. I finally looked at the listing and saw that they light-up automatically in water....DUH.... They are not very bright at all, may work well in very clear water, but not where we fish. It will be fun to try though.

I guess it depends on your needs/fish. Its not very bright but how bright does it need to be? How does a fish eye relate to ours? Underwater or above? Do they even like it? idk!? I say where I live, we have large fish like Pike and large trout. WOuld I trust this in line with my bait? Im not willing to chance loosing a lunker hoping this plastic housing will hold. I guess if you want a toy to play with give it a try...
