These are not big enough for weights. You have to fill them up with sand, and the plastic bags that they give you to fill up are even smaller than the bags that they go in. These are a waste of money. The bags could be used for something more useful because they are pretty.

I thought these were super useful. I’ve had the problem of curtains blowing around for years and haven’t really found an easy solution I was happy with it. I was going to sew in chains to put at the bottom of the curtains but never got around to it. These bags make this process so much easier! I used rocks and they have kept the curtains right where I have needed them. I like that it came with a separate plastic bag to put the weights in so the canvas bag doesn’t get dirty.

These are fabulous. I never realized how much I needed outdoor curtain weights until a storm came through last year during a picnic. I love these canvas bags - I can fill with sand, rock, pea gravel to weigh them and then clip to the curtain hems. Last year it was, in a pinch, safety pins and rocks jiggered into the hems. This year, I have these beauts and they'll be perfect.

These are great curtain weights for outdoor curtains. They are easy to fill and easy to use. You can choose to fill them with weights, sand, or rocks. They hold down the curtains well in a rough breeze. They are made with good fabric and come with a plastic bag to hold the materials in the pocket.SummaryInstructions 5 out 5 Well-written and easy to understandFeatures Worked 5 out 5 Easy to dispense. These are super useful & cheap so if you’re thinking about it I definitely recommend getting them! Not just for weighting down curtains at home on the patio, but really anything. Beach & park blankets, tarps when camping, or holding down blankets evenly on the line outside to dry. The clips are also really useful for its versatility cause you can clip/hook anything to anything!Just keep in mind this ONLY comes with the empty sand bags & clips, nothing else is included.

These, when filled with sand- I used a denser than most “paver sand”- are most definitely not 16 ounces (1#) each. I knew it wasn’t so got out my digital kitchen scale- yep- 12.5 oz and that inner sand zip top bag was as full as I could make it and be able to just barely zip it… Maybe “fluid ounces” if taking into account only the possible volume of the outer bag? (That is most definitely not water-fillable)See photo of 2 of my curtains- the one on the right has one sandbag clipped on each side of the bottom… the one on the left does not. This is a gentle morning breeze, too. Not in any way “windy”… the one w the sandbags I guess is blowing a little less, but not by much!I also if it is windy? And these are flying around in the wind on the curtain? Dont want to be hit by one and for sure not my dog with the exposed outer metal hooks that don’t even bend in so you’re having that sharp edge exposed. Also see photo… Most definitely wouldn’t want that to hook into and scratch my dog’s eye- as blowing up higher in the air w real wind could definitely be high enough to hit his eye (and he’s a giant breed dog… most are shorter than him and wouldn’t take much of any breeze to flip up and hit their little faces:(I’m taking these off. I think they would maybe be good for securing a regular outdoor table cloth (does anyone still use an actual table cloth?? Maybe a decorative runner?) - The only time I have a table covering outside is a plastic one for a seafood boil party and the clips would likely rip through the plastic sheeting and bare minimum even if they didn’t, would be a one time use w boil water/juices dripping off the table on to them… for that will stick w my usual wrapping the plastic cover around the table legs and securing w a length of painters tape. The only possible thing this would be good for would be if you’re having an outdoor sit down dinner- your table scape has a runner down the middle and you want the very ends of the runner that is hanging off to be weighted down a bit… but there are many better options for that, too (and who, other than a lifestyle channel show, has an actual long outside table with a dozen place settings… it does look nice but IRL in real life- who actually does that?Anyhow- giving it 2 stars vs one bc the outer Muslin bag is kinda cute and maybe could find something else to use that for??
