I wish they would fit since they are nice, multi-colored knobs. The product description says they are for 6mm shafts, but the inner diameter is about 5.7mm at the widest point, and you cannot fit a 6mm shaft into the knobs. They taper into about 5.3mm to hold onto the shaft.

These are a tremendous value and decent quality knob for the money - I mean ten-cents each roughly??? Not bad.The feel ok - could be better, but overall a cost effective and decent quality product. The just feel a little —- I guess plasticy. I don’t know that some of the design that went into these was necessary. Personally I would have liked a more toothpaste cap like feel... but for the money again these got here quick - the required a bit of force to get them on but not too bad... oh and the fit my flatted potentiometer shafts - even though they themselves were skirted bit flatted shaft knobs. Very happy with the renewed look these gave a piece of studio gear I was gifted which’s had the included rubberized knobs somehow turned gross and sticky. I’m glad I bought them. The slider caps should be here later today. 😉

The type of shaft these are supposed to fit was never mentioned in the listing, only that it was for 6MM shafts. These have internal splines that match no potentiometer shafts I could find. The only types of shafts I could find on line are either T18, D Shaft, or smooth round.T18 have 18 sets of ribs running parallel to the shaft. The splines are completely wrong on these. These knobs only have 9 groves in them and they are not triangle shaped like they should be.They slanted sides like a triangle but it's like a triangle with the tops cut off.T18 Knobs should fit snuggly but go on easily.THESE KNOBS REQUIRE EXCESSIVE PRESSURE TO INSTALL ON T18 SHAFTS!I was able to get them on the T18 shafts but I had to apply such tremendous force that you highly risk breaking the potentiometer! Instead of them aligning and sliding on it is actually completely smashing many of the T18 ribs on the plastic shafts. I had to put such tremendous downwards pressure on them I bowed all the leads on the potentiometer until it was resting on the PCB.Once installed they also took a smooth movement and turned into one that has much to much resistance to turn smoothly. Even though I can still see a small gap between the bottom collar of the Knob and the top of the Potentiometer like there should be, and doesn't seem to be touching the collar, it is applying a lot of friction making it twice as hard to turn the knobs then it did without them installed.Of course I didn't figure out all these other facts until after I had installed them.I have attached a few pictures of the splines so that you can see what I'm talking about. This is probably why they are so cheap. If you have T18 shafts I would highly recommend NOT USING THESE or you risk damaging your potentiometers.

I was not sure how well these would work. I wanted something for my project to get started. Blank pot-shafts look so tacky. For the price these are very reasonable for a start. They are plastic and do not have a set screw. However, the fit is tight for the 6m that I have. This is important because its a pain when they keep falling off. I will be buying more for sure.

These look nice and will work on a T18 splined shaft. They aren't actually splined a bit to coarsely for T18 - maybe they're intended for 6mm smooth shafts? But I think they'll work for my DIY Eurorack modules.
