After receiving this package I was somewhat disappointed by the fact that you don’t get what you see in the picture small detail I know but it’s not what I was hoping to receive at the end of the day however it does what it does and that’s what matters but don’t be fooled by the picture

Not worth the money spent on it.

I got these to use on a new small fish pond that I recently built I was concerned when the sodium bicarbonate I was adding wasn't really showing any change (pH carbon or alkaline) on the test strips but I think I just got too much in a hurry I need to add more overtime for any noticeable change.I tested the strips with a 10% sulfuric acid (PH down solution the left strip in the image) and r/o water with baking soda (right test strip in image) added. The test strips reacted to about what you would expect. For a rough estimate this is a pretty reasonable test but if you want to track small changes or accurate numbers the common drop test kits better suited.

I was forever curious if our fridge water filter does anything and if water is different to the one straight from the tap.So, this is a great thing to have a check as it has shown a difference between our filtered water and tap water. Not that our tap water is bad, just our filtration system does work and showed less chlorine (almost none), really good pH levels, as well as reduction in metals.Essy to use and simple to read if you give it time to work.

Having previously had illness from contaminated well water used to water strawberries and lettuce, I ordered these testing strips to test the water in my rainwater buts before using it to water leafy greens we shall be eating, and also to test my tap water (which tastes foul). These are easy to use: just wet the test strip and wait for a few seconds to allow the reaction, then check against the key on the jar. - just remember to hold the strip horizontal until you've read it to stop the dye from the different indicators spreading. The rainwater buts tested fine: much better than I had expected (see picture and excuse thumb grubby from opening the but!). My tap water tested similarly but with more chlorine and higher alkalinity. These are good strips, but you need to think about what it is you want to test for. For example, the well that made us sick was contaminated with giardia, and these tests wouldn't pick up that or bacterial contamination. Similarly, I think it's probaly worth going for strips that also test for things like lead and mercury. If your needs for testing are all included in these strips, I would recommend them.

I have tried multiple strips out of this kit. All of them have given the same results.... or more properly lack of results. Testing my established aquaponic system water these strips show no results for nitrites, nitrates, iron or pH. Other test strips are showing appropriate readings. I got these because those didn't test for iron like these are supposed to. Switching back to those and returning these. DO NOT waste your time or money.

These have a diagram on the side to make sure your water is within normal range. They work and that's all that matters. Price is good for what you get so no complaints there.
